Incoming high school Juniors and Seniors have never had a more important time in their life to prepare for a test. And few tests can be quite as stressful as the ACT. Scores can determine what college will accept you and more importantly how much money they will offer. My ACT tutoring recommends six hours of tutoring to learn the strategies that will drastically improve test performance. These six hours typically come in three two-hour sessions or two three-hour sessions. Students have come back to tell me how much better they did and to schedule review sessions before each test date. Mo [more]

As a non-mathematically inclined individual, my mathematical accomplishments can be likened to successfully running a marathon in an ill-fitting pair of ice skates on scorching asphalt. Because of my personal history with math, I can relate to the feelings of imbalance, confusion, awkwardness, insecurity, and frustration that other mathematically challenged individuals experience. I can envision the stumbling blocks they will likely encounter and can illuminate the path before anyone lands fa... [more]
