Over the years of ACT math tutoring, I have developed my own test taking strategies along with math notes, worksheets, and lesson plans. By the end of our sessions, students will have reviewed every math concept that could be tested - eliminating stress! I recently had a student score a 36 on the math section and many others score in the 30s. My desire to learn and teach has remained constant over the years. I find teaching to be one of the most rewarding parts of my life, and I love to see my students excel and feel confident in their abilities! I know that my extensive teaching background an [more]

I am praxis-certified to teach middle and high school math in Louisiana, and taught in a high school the past two years. I created an ACT prep program for my school and led school-wide professional development in test taking strategies. MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: As a Teacher For America Greater New Orleans alum, I?ve discovered that a student?s mindset and preparation are what divides a classroom into those that go through the motions of a straight A lesson, and those whose unrelenting drive will achieve great success. As a certified Louisiana teacher, I have a profound background in teaching [more]

The first time I took the ACT, I got a 34 on the Math section. The second time I got a 35. Given the overall score of 35 and the consistently high Math grades, I have been able to successfully help many students improve their ACT scores for 6 years. With experience tutoring all age groups and learning styles, I can help students become more comfortable and prepared for Mathematics classes at the middle school to undergraduate levels. I also prepare students for ACT or GRE testing, covering topics and test-taking skills. I like to help take the stress out of these testing experiences. I've [more]

I am an engineer with a company near Fort Collins and a former middle school math teacher with the Humboldt Unified School District. I am constantly working to learn new teaching methods and techniques. I started tutoring when I was 16 years old helping my younger brother learn algebra. I love seeing the light bulb moments when a student comprehends a subject that they thought would be impossible to grasp. My tea... [more]
