I was a top percentile scorer on my own college entrance exams and began preparing students to pass their tests in 2000. I know the content and strategies for this test section as well as what areas that are the most unfamiliar to students depending on their grade or level. From basic arithmetic rules to ACT trig I can blend content and testing strategies into effective lessons. I was a National Merit Scholar in high school and graduated from ASU and the Barrett Honors College in 2000. That same year I started teaching SAT and GRE after scoring 800 A 760 M 740 V on the old GRE scoring scale [more]

I got my undergraduate degrees in physics and economics and my doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from SCNM. I currently teach anatomy and physiology. In my experience, even the most abstract mathematical or ... [more]

Part of my job is to help students with special needs to succeed in general education mathematics. I love helping students make sense of high school mathematics. [more]

The questions that you will need to answer on the ACT Math Test are relatively straightforward and cover topics that you would normally find a typical high school math class. Geometry questions account for a greater percentage of the ACT Math Test than do any other type of question and I am also certified in Geometry. As a student that shied away from almost every subject, I appreciate how daunting any subject can be. My individual finding is nothing is more rewarding than successfully winning a good grade with a subject that you struggle with. Mathematics: I have many years preparing stu [more]

After having brought not only my seven children but also numerous students to the joy of knowledge for knowledge's sake, I wish to share some of my experience with students who might feel lost.
