I have personally tutored, over three decades, many students in ACT math, in addition to tutoring students in math for virtually every other college and graduate-level standardized exam administered. In addition to attaining math scores in the upper percentile on many standardized exams, including a perfect score of 800 on the GRE's math section, I have developed a proven approach to test preparation that is readily adaptable to a student's unique strengths and weaknesses. Based on the strategies I impart to my students, they have been able to improve their math scores by significant amounts. [more]

The Math section of the ACT tends to be straightforward (compared to the SAT). Mastery of basic concepts from pre-algebra through geometry is what is required for success, although there will be a few questions from introductory trigonometry thrown in. My approach to tutoring for the Math section consists of working through practice test questions, stopping to correct misconceptions and re-teach basic concepts as needed. I also teach techniques for wrong answer elimination to improve results even when unable to work out the exact solution. [more]

My strongest subjects are maths and sciences, but I would be comfortable tutoring in almost any subject.
