In high school, I scored in the 92nd percentile on the ACT Math section. I can teach your student how to manage their time, solve problems quickly, and be successful on the ACT Math section. My passion for mathematics began when I was in 11th grade. As a homeschooled student, I had a flexible schedule which allowed me to take Algebra II at Norco College. I had an amazing professor who made me realize how fun math is. After that, I decided to major in math. In May 2012, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Mathematics. For the next two years, I tutored math at Norco College. I re [more]

I taught SAT, ACT, PSAT, and GRE test preparation classes, tutored one-on-one for these tests, as well as for PSAE, SSAT, and SAT subject tests for chemistry, math, literature, and biology, and was an ACT trainer for new teachers. I began working for TPR in 1994, quit for a few years while I taught in two different secondary schools, then returned to the company. Over the years, I have led many teacher development workshops in schools in the Chicago area and have both edited and written for company publications. [more]

My love of teaching stems from a life-long pursuit of the truth of how things work. As a graduate of the University of California, Irvine (double majoring in math and biological science), I can look back on many examples of how hard work and dedication to learning paid off both in teaching and in corporate employment. As a full time math teacher I was selected to teach Algebra 1 in the federally sponsored Upward Bound program where kids lived on the UC campus for the summer. I had the pl... [more]

Math is my passion, and I have pursued it since I realized I loved it back in fifth grade. I entered college wanted to expand my knowledge of math beyond the AP Calculus class I took in high school, and that led me to choosing my career of being and aerospace engineer. To this day, math is still my passion, and I have tried to excite today's youth with the same passion I have in math. I started tutoring as a sophomore in high school, and created a small business of my own my sophomore year of... [more]

I am a sophomore mechanical engineering student in the Montana State University Honors College. I love to ski and swim and will read anything placed in front of me. As an engineering student who adores writing, I don't believe that students are incapable of mastering certain subjects just because it isn't what they love. I have been tutoring basic math through algebra two for many years and writing for even longer. My emphasis is on making learning fun and engaging. I can help with given ... [more]
