The ACT tests, for most colleges, are accepted as much as the SAT. The advantage of taking the ACT is that, in general, it is easier to do well on than the ACT because the emphasis is more on math knowledge than on problem-solving It is said that one only needs the math up through the 9th grade to think about and compute problems on the ACT.
