The key to being successful on the ACT Math is to practice, practice, practice. This is probably the most 'convenient' test as it allows for a calculator throughout. I will teach you how to ace the math section by breaking down every single concept for you, showing you patterns in the questions and teaching you time saving strategies. I will thoroughly prepare you. We will reinforce foundation skills using worksheets and we will work on current and past practice tests. I am well versed in teaching the ACT and have helped many students obtain scholarships. [more]

I have done both SAT and FCAT tutoring -- which are similar to the ACT test. For all of these tests, we need to work through a workbook that has sample problems. I recommend the Kaplan test prep book for the SAT test and the Cliff Notes Test Prep Book for the ACT test. These can be purchased at a bookstore or at Amazon. In order to do well on the test, it is important to master the material in the sample tests. This may take a longer or shorter time -- depending on the student's background and ability. If the student needs a lot of preparation, you may want to tutor more than once a week. [more]

I started tutoring unintentionally when I was 13 and I was asked to help a family friend with the algebra section of her GED preparatory work. She was so impressed with my skills that she hired we as a tutor for her daughter. That's how it began! Since then throughout my high school years I became the name to call whenever a student needed extra help outside the classroom. I graduated high school in the top 1% of my class and started the University of Central Florida in 2014 with my AA degr... [more]
