The ACT math section is a fast paced, stimulating section of the test. 60 questions in 60 minutes is a lot! I firmly believe that guided practice is the best method of learning how to master this section. I have built a program to guide students through the process of understanding math strategies and content, and how to use the knowledge they have to successfully answer questions. The reason I love to tutor students is because I have had phenomenal experiences with my tutors in the past. I know the feeling of having a topic be crystal clear after working with a challenging, motivational tutor [more]

ACT math basically can be summarized by one sentence: Time limited, and with gradual difficulties to the end. The most difficult part might be trigonometry, but it only has 4 or 5 question, and mostly at the end. The strategy for taking ACT math would be take less time on other parts, such as pre-algebra, elementary algebra, intermediate-algebra, and some geometry. Additionally, algebra and geometry contain as much as 50% of total questions. Thus, I will take as much time to focus on these two areas. I personally took ACT, and I am experienced with this test, especially with math. I will be [more]

I'm Jason! I am a sophomore pursuing my Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, and I absolutely have a passion for mathematics as well as the "hard" sciences, especially physics. I have never officially tutored, but on many occasions I have helped my friends and fellow students when they struggled. I realize that many students just learn how to regurgitate formulas and just get a surface-level knowledge of concepts, but whenever I help people my goal is to help them develop a complet... [more]
