As a full-time tutor for many years, I have seen a lot of "acronym" tests. Of all of them, the ACT is my most popular. For the math section specifically, I focus on what I call "guesstimation," which is the process of determining correct answers based on logic instead of actually doing the problems. I find it to be very helpful to students for when they get stumped by a problem.
