The ACT Math section consists of Pre-Algebra, Elementary and Intermediate Algebra, Coordinate and Plane Geometry, and Trigonometry. I have explicitly taught all the algebra content during my time teaching in high school, and I have taken two Geometry/Trigonometry courses, one in high school and one in college. I also took the ACT when applying to college; I earned a 35 out of 36 overall. **I am now accepting students for the Spring 2018 Semester in both college and high school!** I completed my Bachelor's in Mathematics with Secondary Education Certification from King's College in Wilkes-Barr [more]

My personal SAT Math scores were in the 700's. I am certified in CT to teach Math. I have spent 26 years teaching gr... [more]

I really like tutoring, as I helped other students with their math at my high school as well. I have in-depth experience in teaching ACT material or SAT subject Math Level 2 material, as well as co... [more]

Standardized exams seem to have a knack for unearthing any weaknesses in our fundamental knowledge base and in our test taking strategies! They can also be intimidating due to the sheer volume of material! It is as joy to undertake a review with a student as I witness their confidence grow as they awaken long forgotten knowledge and begin to glimpse how it all ties together! Math in particular is a subject that most of us can use a refresher on, no matter how bright!! The ACT Math test can be significantly more difficult than the SAT. Therefore, students need to be well prepared and comfortable with the testing structure/format. They also need to be familiar with the type of questions and wordings. I will help to diagnose your weak areas and develop a plan of study to improve your abilities in those areas. By utilizing different strategies and techniques, I will help you improve your ability to make an educated guess under those instances where you maybe uncertain of a particular question(s). I will use past released test materials as practice questions und [more]
