I took the ACT 5 times in high school. I made a 33 overall and a 35 on the math section. I also began a tutoring program after school for the seniors retaking the ACT. I love math. I currently tutor after school at my school and would love to be able to help other students. I just completed my Master's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at ECU in May 2017. I am always looking for ways to improve what I do and enjoy sharing my knowledge of math with others. Tutoring for me is almost more fun than teaching, because of the personalized learning. This will be my 12th year teaching high [more]

I have a wealth of experience with standardized math tests that my students benefit greatly from. I have always enjoyed teaching and tutoring. Even when I studied for my own classes, I would always study in groups and would help teach others concepts I had already mastered. My tutoring experience includes seven years working at Sylvan Learning Centers in North Carolina, where I taught mostly high school math courses, SAT math preparation, study skills, and basic reading. This is where I came to realize that working with students one on one works a lot better for me than working in the classroom setting with 30 to 35 students at a time. My family r... [more]
