Over the past 10 years, I have been successfully tutoring students in the early Society of Actuary and Casualty Actuarial examinations. I have reached Associate status with the SOA. Current students are taking Exam S for the CAS. Most students find that passing P1 and FM are sufficient to gain an actuarial trainee position by which time their education is fully funded. I can advise on getting that coveted first actuarial job. I also tutor candidates for the VEE portion - Corporate Finance, Economics and Linear Regression. I can also help you get up to speed in the necessary calculus, finan [more]

I have completed 4 actuarial exams (Exam P, FM, MFE, C). My average preparation time for my actuarial exams is less most people. I know how to prepare people for the exams and ensure them to pass with confidence. First and foremost, I am an effective tutor. I graduated from New York University Stern School of Business with double majors in Actuarial Science and Finance and a joint minor in Computer Science and Mathematics. I am currently working as a Model Risk Specialist. I have passed 4 actuarial exams (P, FM, MFE, C) with only one attempt in each exam. For actuarial exams preparation, I am [more]

I am a Associate of the Society of Actuaries having passed the first 5 exams. I also passed (what at the time was) the 7th exam which qualified me for being an Enrolled Actuary. This meant that I was authorized to sign schedule C of the 5500 form for the IRS filings for Pension Plans as well as use actuarial science to perform valuations on Pension Plans. Hi, while I haven't been tutoring for money since College, I have helped a number of students when asked by parents and friends to get over the rough spots in their education. Often there are topics that just don't make sense to a student [more]

I passed two actuarial exams(P and FM). I got a B.S. degree in actuarial math with GPA 3.78 and I was grader for one actuarial math class for one year. My name is Yuwei and I was graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a B.S. degree in mathematics with actuarial science specialization with GPA 3.8. I successfully completed exams 100 and 110 a number of years ago and these have been converted to credit for COURSE1 which gives me a conversion credit for exam P. Exam P is the very first exam and covers probability. So, based on the fact I have passed exams 100 and 110, and those convert to Exam P, I should be able to help people with exam P. Exam P is only the first exam in the list of requirements given by the Society of Actuaries for certification. I currently teach ESL at nights for "USA English Audiovisual School," in Plainfield, NJ. This gives me little time to tutor for Wyzant. B [more]
