I am currently enrolled in a PhD program for theoretical Physics and have years of experience tutoring advanced mathematics at the university level. Algebra is one of the most important building blocks for the subjects I deal with on a daily basis. Sessions consist of working through material that the student would like to focus on by providing insight and guidance to the problem solving process, detailing the underlying concepts at work, not merely showing the required equations and plugging in values. My goal is to provide each student with the same problem-solving skills that I have obtaine [more]

I have been using algebra 1 for 10 years. During that time I have helped many students understand both the basics and the difficult parts of algebra 1. I combine a mixture of real life examples, insights into the equations we are using, and where this might be used in higher levels of math and future careers (just so you don't feel like this is a useless subject). It is my belief that this is not a hard subject; anyone can learn and master it. The only two things standing in he way of that are laziness and bad teachers, so if you feel like you struggle with one or both of those problems, don' [more]

I have been tutoring math from Elementary Math to Algebra II for the past 6 1/2 years. During high school I took Calculus and at The University of Tulsa I continued classes in Calculus. Students work on classroom homework as well as additional material. I make sure that students not only understand but make sure they can complete problems by themselves. I graduated from Broken Arrow High School and have attended the University of Tulsa. I have been tutoring math and teaching flute lessons for the past 10 years. I offer in-person tutoring at convenient locations as well as on-line tutoring. [more]
