I work as a research physicist at the Air Force Research Laboratory, and I'll bring that expertise to every tutoring session. Often I like to take a break from aligning lasers and help out a student who wants to better understand this beautiful subject area. I have a Bachelor's in physics from Cornell University and a Master's in applied physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology. I've had many chances to teach and tutor both high school and college students. I spent one summer te... [more]

Having assisted students in a math study hall during his undergraduate days at the University of Kentucky, he also worked as a teaching assistant in physics courses at the University of Chicago and in mechanical/aerospace engineering classes at Rutgers University. He worked one-on-one with students working on independent study engineering projects at Rutgers and at Georgia Tech. At both the University of New Mexico (Continuing Education) and at the Lockheed Martin Corporation in Mariett... [more]

Unlocking the student's skills in Algebra can sometimes be a bit challenging. Because Algebra seems blurred and abstract at first, I work at it like a puzzle with a specific answer. Given the steps to follow and basic skills to run on, most students catch on quickly. If your student has missed a class or tends to zone out (ADD/ADHD) he or she may be frustrated. I believe I can get him or her back on track and boost those Algebra grades quickly, which will make class a lot more appealing and put a smile on your face as well. [more]

It makes me really happy when student asks a question. I believe that students learn better when lesson is related to real life and more interactive. I got my master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I am trying to get my second master's degree in curriculum and instruction in mathematics concentration. Do yo... [more]

I'm Anurag and I graduated from Purdue University with an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015. All through my education, I learnt that the courses I enjoyed the most were the ones where I was able to engage in with the professors. They not only were able to make the course content well-structured and easy to understand, but were willing to address doubts and questions without making their students feel self-conscious. This is the kind of approach that I try to bring to my tutoring to ... [more]

I have a BS from Wright State in mathematics with a concentration in statistics. I recently achieved my MS from the University of Cincinnati in quantitative analysis. Some of the subjects that I am comfortable with include algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, combinatorics, and statistics (probability, regression, time series, optimization, simulation, and design of experiments). While earning my BS at Wright State, I was a math proctor for an intro to algebra course. This included ... [more]
