I am certified to teach mathematics K-12. Many students have difficulty when first encountering abstract math, so Algebra is my most requested subject. I have successfully tutored many students, who improved their grades in Algebra I dramatically. I also developed a curriculum that I am teaching to 5th and 6th graders starting them on Algebra at an early age, so that they are familiar with the concepts when they go on to take Algebra formally. I believe that every student is capable of learning. My goal is to allow them to reach their maximum potential by getting them interested in the subjec [more]

Despite changing from an academic path to working in industry I continue to tutor students on the side. I have always found tutoring to be more gratifying than instruction. As a tutor I can communicate more directly with students one on one and help them get past their blocks. If a student is serious about learning materia... [more]

Throughout my teaching career, I've always tutored math. I've home schooled my own children in math for three years combined. I'm currently designing two SAT math programs covering algebra and geometry concepts on the SAT. I have remediation, acceleration, and enrichment training available for algebra 1. I concentrate on filling gaps in knowledge within earlier math to facilitate growth in algebra. I have gotten middle school students into elite public high schools, and turned student who was failing in the 30 percentile to near 90 percent in less than two months. [more]
