Algebra has always been one of my favorite subjects to do and teach. There are always so many different ways to find the value of an unknown variable and I love that all of them always come to the same conclusion. My students always tell me that I am very good at breaking down a complex problem into small steps, and the process of solving an algebra problem lends itself well to exactly this method. I look forward to helping you or your student with their algebra skills. I am a former University of Kentucky student who has recently moved back to Lexington from the Nashville area. The goal of each and every algebra problem is to solve the variable by isolating it to one side of the equation. We achieve this by using the basic arithmetic while keeping in mind using the Golden Rule of Algebra: what you do to one side of the equation, you must do to the other side. First off, a bit about me: I was born in Bulgaria but have lived here in Lexington over fifteen years.
