I have experience teaching and tutoring through precalculus. I approach Algebra 1 from a stand point of learning the steps of single variable problem solving and the techniques needed to solve for those variables. My name is Jacquelyn and I have been an educator for over thirty years. I have taught and tutored at both the high school and college level. I consider myself a science and math tutor, as I have taught and tutored biology and chemistry, including AP for both subjects, and math through Precalculus. I possess a California Community College Credential in Biological Sciences and I hav [more]

I took Algebra in middle school and during high school was enrolled in only Honors or AP math courses including AP Calculus and Statistics. I went on to college to obtain a Bachelor's in Mathematics. I am a Math graduate from California State University of San Bernardino, where I received my BA in Math. I have been tutoring privately and at schools since 2002 in various subjects such as physics, mathematics, and chemistry. My first experience tutoring was at my high school as a paid tutor. When funding was cut from the program I was the only one out of 15 tutors that stayed as a volunteer. Whe [more]

Algebra 1 is the foundation for all the next level math topics. For this reason, I explain the Algebra 1 topics in great details to my students and make sure they understand each topic before moving to the next topics. I also assign practice problems to make sure they are ready for the next level. I am a patient and experienced tutor that is doing this job professionally. Please spend couple of minutes to take a look at my testimonials to see what my students are saying about my tutoring style and experience. 2016 was an important year for me, since I graduated from University of California-Ir [more]

I struggled with my algebra 1 class but I know how to get past some harder topics. As a college student I always help out friends and peers in class. I found out I really enjoyed teaching my favorite subjects in Math and Science. (Those being Geometry, Algebra 1 &2 , Biology, and Chemistry.) I was always top 10 of my class and I had strong interests in the science and mathematics fields, although I am pursuing my love for Urban & Regional Planning in college. I am currently attending Cal Poly Pomona (GO BRONCOS!) as a transfer student this 2018 Fall semester. Previously ... [more]

Algebra is my favorite math concept. All throughout my school days I recieved nothing less than a "B+" in algebra. I find Algebra easy, it just comes to me. I am patient in teaching it and my main goal is to help you understand it and see that it is actually pretty easy and fun to do. I have a BA degree in Theater Arts and I am currently in school getting my early childhood education certificate and working on my Master's in education. Right now I have two of the three sections of the CBEST passed which includes the reading and math aspects and I intend on taking the writing portion soon. I he [more]
