My name is Joseph. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a degree in Physics. I first became interested in tutoring when I moved to America. I was lost without knowing the language or the culture, but my neighbor volunteered his time to tutor me English three times a week and show me around the neighborhood. His altruism and dedication helped me succeed to be where I am today, and I wish to do the same for others. Since then, I had always been teaching in one way or anothe... [more]

I guide students to think of Algebra as a game -- something to be enjoyed and not feared. Once they see it as a "solve for x" puzzle, students become more confident and less intimidated by Algebra. One-to-one tutoring allows students to play the game with someone outside of the peer-pressured classroom. Less stress -- more learning. [more]
