I have been working with algebra for over a decade. My line of study as a physics major requires an active understanding of all the rules and formulas contained in this subject. Each problem requires multiple steps of algebra to complete. I taught this subject to many students and they all improve drastically with my assistance. There are many ways to improve oneself. None is quite like the power you get from educating yourself on how to better perform. As America moves forward, jobs are requiring more technical knowledge and expertise. And yet at the same time, the education system is bogged [more]

Algebra is often the first math course a student takes that they exclaim "I just don't get it". Algebra involves nothing new mathematically, just adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. It is essentially a method of logical steps to find an answer. It CAN be a fun course. It CAN be very useful in everyday life, not just for the math aspect, but for learning how to think through problems in a logical way. Math and science were my favorite subjects throughout my formal schooling and I can help any student improve their knowledge in these courses by helping them enjoy the subjects rather [more]

Hi, I've recently retired from teaching in the public schools, which I began in 1990.
