I have a teaching license to teach K-12. I have taught high school for 9 years, pre-algebra, algebra 1, geometry, trig, and pre-calculus. I am currently teaching at a junior college in mathematics. My name is Katrina. I have taught high school math in Wichita school system for 7 years in the past. I loved helping students during and after school. I also enjoyed going to all their sporting events to see their talents outside the classroom. I enjoy helping students with any type of math. I can be formal and make up lessons, but I would rather be the tutor that helps the student understand [more]

I have formally taught (and tutored) algebra I at the middle school and high school levels. I have also tutored a number of adults through college algebra. Over the years I have found that most students who have trouble with math missed or did not understand some basic concept from early on in their education. Since math is so cumulative, this small deficit mushrooms into a seemingly insurmountable problem. It is not. Let's find it and fix it. "But that's easy!" is the response I hope for and often get when I teach. I have been a licensed secondary (grades 6-12) teacher for over ten years. M [more]

I have tutored for several years now from elementary-age to college students. My more formal positions were as a math tutor up to Calculus II at Wichita State and a lunch tutor (in all subjects) at Robinson Middle School. My job as a tutor is to not only teach you what you need to know, but to help you develop the skills to effectively learn and study on your own. At least once in your life (probably a majority of the time in my experience), you'll experience a teacher that has a teaching... [more]

Algebra is easy once you understand it! I love tutoring students in Algebra because often it is a combination of learning the fundamentals and low confidence that leads to poor outcomes. When I tutor in Algebra, I seek to ensure that each student truly understands the concepts and I encourage them in their ability to not only pass Algebra 1, but to exceed expectations. Hi, I'm Caleb!
