I have formally taught (and tutored) algebra I at the middle school and high school levels. I have also tutored a number of adults through college algebra. Over the years I have found that most students who have trouble with math missed or did not understand some basic concept from early on in their education. Since math is so cumulative, this small deficit mushrooms into a seemingly insurmountable problem. It is not. Let's find it and fix it. "But that's easy!" is the response I hope for and often get when I teach. I have been a licensed secondary (grades 6-12) teacher for over ten years. M [more]

After graduating high school I continued my education at Emporia State University. While attending Emporia State, I played 4 years of varsity tennis and later graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education. I have tutored for several years now from elementary-age to college students. My more formal positions were as a math tutor up to Calculus II at Wichita State and a lunch tutor (in all subjects) at Robinson Middle School. Algebra is easy once you understand it! I love tutoring students in Algebra because often it is a combination of learning the fundamentals and low confidence that leads to poor outcomes. When I tutor in Algebra, I seek to ensure that each student truly understands the concepts and I encourage them in their ability to not only pass Algebra 1, but to exceed expectations. Hi, I'm Caleb!
