I have taught four years of Algebra 1 at the high school level. In addition I have taught 4 years of Geometry and Algebra 2. I also have been an instructor for several homeschool students. I am a chemical engineer by profession and education. The last ten years of my career were as the president of a chemical corporation. I retired early and became involved in education. Math is really just a pencil, a piece of paper, time and an instructor who can motivate a student to work at it! In 2011, ninety-eight percent of my Algebra students passed the EOG's in Algebra I. I have recently retired from teaching in public school. However, I do not want to give up my work with helping students be the best they can be. My algebra scores for the 2011 end-of-year State test showed a 98% pass rate.
