Algebra 2 is a critical juncture in which math begins to turn toward the more abstract. I recognize this is a point in which students--even those who have been successful in math--begin to struggle. I work with students at this level to encourage them to recognize how to use information and skills they already have to help them solve problems that seem overwhelming.
