While I was attending college and studying mathematics and economics, the algebra that I have used in those subjects has predominately been derived from this course. I have tutored Algebra II for 4 years as well. I have excelled in courses at higher levels than this course, so I have confidence that I am able to tutor it. Tutoring is my passion. I've worked as a tutor for three years, and I have received official tutoring certifications from the College Reading & Learning Association. It is my goal and personal joy to break down the material in a way so that the student has a new understand [more]

I have a degree in Math and many years of experience teaching Algebra 2. My specialty is teaching students who are struggling a bit and clearing things up for them. I love to help students understand math. I have 10 years of teaching experience and my students say I am good at breaking concepts down so they can understand them--even the ones who hate math! My favorite type of teaching is one-on-one and small group teaching. It is easier to see where a student is not understanding and fill in the gaps. I know how to be a good student. Algebra 2 is a challenging course for students, but I have a lot of experience with tutoring that subject. I tutored this course for ten semesters at the college level. I have also helped my two daughters through this course and they both have A's in the class. I have been successful in breaking down the material for the students so that they truly understand the steps (there are sometimes a lot of steps in these problems) not just memorize the steps. I love to see the smiles on the students' faces when they understand and 'get it' which almost always happens!! [more]
