Algebra 2 is a continuation of Algebra 1 but focuses its attention on the behavior of various functions and their zeros. I had the opportunity of taking over 1 Algebra 2 class during my student teaching experience so not only do I have a well rounded knowledge of Algebra in general, but I also have a well rounded knowledge of common student strength and weaknesses on the subject and know how to help students who might struggle. Some Topics: Rational/Radical Functions and Operations, Finding Zeros of Polynomial Functions, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Logarithms, Mathematical Modeling, Graphing [more]

You can see from my profile that I have learned and used at lot of mathematics in my career, but I am also an extraordinary teacher who can explain mathematical concepts and solve problems in understandable ways. Algebra 2 attempts to get students to think and talk about things that happen in the real world in a compact way as relationships between two independent measurements--two variables. Students are using the new language that they (hopefully) learned in algebra 1 and are applying it in more complex situations. These relationships between variables are difficult for most students to vi [more]

Looking to really excel in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Philosophy, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Biochemistry, Writing, or the ACT? Come to the alchemist who will help you understand the language each of these disciplines speaks. In many cases, students fail to achieve the grades they're looking for because the material being presented to them appears to be in a different language. As a professional tutor, it is my goal to understand where the language barrier is in a topic ... [more]

I have taught Algebra 2 for over 25 years. When tutoring I will first make sure that a student has mastered the concepts from Algebra 1. Without these students can not perform well on the problems in Algebra 2. I also work with reading skills and vocabulary. Both of these are necessary for success in mathematics. In Algebra 2, the level of difficulty increases in the types of word problems that are covered. I show students how to break down the problems into more manageable parts and show them how to draw diagrams to help clarify the problem. [more]

Algebra 2 is a continuation of Algebra 1. I have tutored students in Algebra 2. I have taught all the topics in Algebra 2 like linear relations and functions, system of equations and inequalities, matrices, quadratic functions and inequalities, polynomial functions, conic section, rational expression and equations, exponential and logarithmic relations, sequences and series, trigonometric identities and graph. It can be a difficult subject but with practice students can gain confidence and I work with them to build their confidence. [more]

Before I knew I was going to teach French, I was originally going to become a math teacher. I have had numerous students tell me that I should teach math (at their schools), as they really enjoy my step-by-step, simple breakdown method. I have helped numerous people conquer their fear of math. **Price break available on rate! I have had recent success in tutoring students in Algebra 2 subjects in both high school level and College Level. I am able to quickly identify ways for the student to overcome their struggles with the subject matter. I not only can help with specific problem solving, but I make many suggestions for the student to be successful on their own. I have always had a passion for math and want everyone to love it as much as I do, but I realize many people struggle to understand the concepts and applications. My most extensive experience in tutoring is my now college aged twin daughters. They have st [more]
