I have been a tutor for thermodynamics for chemical engineering for over two years and other teacher assistants for lab work. I am good at math, programming and engineering subjects. I would like to do some tutor job outside of my PhD research work and really want to help the students who have the problem in their homework, test or other difficult problems. I am smart and patient, I will try my best to let students understand the problem and feel confident about themselves. I am a PhD stu... [more]

I am in my 6th year as a PhD candidate at CSU, and have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate at Northern Arizona University. I have enjoyed all of these roles helping students learn and understand. Helping students gain the skills to succeed and seeing their knowledge grow is what really gets me excited for tu... [more]

I have been tutoring students for the last five years in various math subjects. I happen to love math - not just doing the math, but understanding the why behind it, which is something I try to foster in my students so they feel confident in their abilities instead of resigned to a future of poor grades. Hello! I wanted to let you know a little bit about myself. I've been a college instructor for 9 years now, teaching Freshman Composition and Intro to Lit. In my spare time, I tutor. While my Master's degree is in English Literature, I also took quite a bit of science and math, so I tutor [more]

Hey I'm Kristen! I've been teaching in different aspects for several years now across Texas, Louisiana, and now Colorado. Though I enjoyed teaching in the traditional classroom setting, I've found it much more rewarding and satisfying to teach one-on-one or in small groups - which is why I decided to start tutoring. I love learning, but more than that, I truly enjoy watching others develop their own love for learning. If I can help you feel comfortable enough to start enjoying your own lea... [more]

I am a Ph.D student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU) currently. Before coming to CSU, I got my bachelor's degree at a famous university in China that specially cultivates middle school and high school teachers. My major was mathematics, and I got a teacher's certificate in China. I tutored several undergraduates from CSU last year. I have used or taught algebra on a daily basis for the last 12 years. Algebra concepts can be very hard to visualize and that makes them hard to remember. I think the best way to teach (and understand) algebra is to combine numerical and visual representations of math equations with real-life examples. I have a bachelors of science in chemistry from Colorado State University and a doctorate in analytical chemistry from the University of Kansas. Anytime I told someone I was in Chemistry the response was always one of two things; I hated chemistry, my teacher was awful. OR I loved chemistry, m [more]

I discovered my love for math at a very young age. As a mathematics major who is aspiring to be a mathematician, I found this love expanding into the realm of teaching. My experience has shown me that everyone can learn to find their own connection with math as long as they have the right support to learn at their own pace. I thrive on giving individualized lesson plans to each student, because I know everyone learns a little differently. I completed an Associates of Science with a designa... [more]

I am a very accomplished tutor with over 3 years and over 1000 hours of tutoring experience.
