I have tutored publicly and privately in Algebra 2 several times and I am familiar with most of the text books and computer programs used in Algebra 2. Let me introduce myself. I am an experienced tutor in both math and science. I have 2 years of experience working with Fresno City College's Upward Bound program tutoring and mentoring at high schools. The second half of algebra, algebra 2 is best learned after going through algebra 1, though integration of geometry into algebra 1 and 2 is something I personally support for maximum learning. However, on its own, algebra 2 is basically an advanced upgrade of algebra 1 concepts, including graphing, solving equations, and new methods to solve word problems. I recommend either a review of algebra 1 or a diagnostic test prior to beginning algebra 2, so I can know how many algebra concepts you know and where your strengths are before we cover new material. A great deal of the topics in algebra [more]

Algebra 2 can be a lot fun, if you get clear teaching, enough practice, and common applications for your day-to-day life and ways math can inform and help you. Lots of examples, plenty of chances to ask questions without worry of ?feeling dumb,? clear explanations, and a comfortable learning environment will help you achieve success in Algebra 2. I have worked with math teaching and tutoring at the levels of pre-algebra and Algebra 1 & 2 for over ten years, teaching daily in this math area during my teaching of upper elementary and as a certificated tutor in a local high school for a year [more]

While I took Algebra 2 over ten years ago, I've used the subject matter frequently in subsequent classes. Hi there, my name is Daniel. I have been playing piano since I was five years old and have 14 total years of private music lessons and 18 total years of music experience. Along this amazing path, I also have learned how to play the drum set, various percussion instruments, and bass guitar. I have taken and passed math courses up through integral calculus. I have tested into the highest possible English classes in college and have gotten straight A's in all of them. I graduated from Bu [more]

My name is Andrew and I love teaching and learning! I come up with creative ways to teach concepts to students. I believe that there is more than one way of solving a problem, and the more ways you know the more comfortable you'll feel with the subject. I try to suit the student's needs while working on their strengths. I believe every subject can be interesting if taught in the right way. It breaks my heart to hear a child say they don't like a subject because their teacher can't teach it. S... [more]

I currently work at Teaching Fellows and I'm looking for additional work on the weekends. I have found that tutoring is extremely enjoyable for myself and that I am quite good at getting children to understand their assignments. I myself sometimes have different ways of looking at things and have found that finding multiple ways of looking at certain subjects helps when teaching to other people. What works best for me doesn't always click with the student I am helping, but because I have foun... [more]
