Algebra is one of the fundamental areas of mathematics. Algebra is a logic system that uses symbols to represent relationships between quantities. Algebra is used to solve all sorts of problems, from accounting to manufacturing. Algebra topics that I tutor include nomenclature, inequalities, word problems, quadratics, substitutions, rational expressions and equations, systems of equations, and many more, as well as all related and prerequisite concepts. I have tutored many students in Algebra over the past few years. [more]

I am enthusiastic about tutoring math and physics, it's a joy to help students see the beauty of math and science. I have degrees in math and Physics from Southern Methodist Univeristy, a Masters in Physical Oceanography (think Physics of the Ocean) from UH and am in the process of earning my PhD. I am qualified to tutor in this subject because I tutored all levels of math while in high school (it was a requirement for both precalculus and AP calculus in high school) When I recently worked at a middle school, I tutored 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in math from Math 3 to Algebra 1. I am good at explaining math because it is logically intuitive to me. Algebra 2 is a step above Algebra 1 but I remember and understand the concepts. Hi, My name is Peter, I graduated from USC this past May with a degree in Psychology. I know what it feels like to struggle in a subject and end up hating [more]
