I earned a Master's Degree in Physics in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in experimental nuclear physics in 2012. I think everybody can learn Physics and Math and these are interesting subjects. In most cases these subjects are made difficult because of the persons teaching it. I enjoy teaching physics and math for mainly two reasons: first, students can assess their physics/math knowledge through problem solving and critical thinking, and second, physics/math provides students the opportunity to ... While serving the U.S. Army, I taught basic math to enlisted men and nuclear physics topics to officers. I also taught chemistry as an adjunct professor at a near-by community college. After the service I spent seven years on the faculty of a small liberal arts college teaching general chemistry and analytical chemistry. As a member of m... [more]

I really enjoy what I do. My greatest reward in teaching is watching my students succeed. And they do. With 30 years of experience teaching secondary mathematics, I continue working with both students and instructors in the classroom. Over the years, I have been most fortunate to work with students who have challenged me to scaffold solutions for difficult concepts. I specialize in step-by-step approaches to problem solving. I have taught (and continue to teach) several math subjects, i... [more]

Algebra 1 and 2 were my favorite subjects throughout school. It's actually fun to work through the questions and I have always seen them as a word play rather than problems. I used to be supplemental instructor in college for Biology, Chemistry and Genetics and used to tutor Pharmacology and Biochemistry in Medical School. I recently graduated from Medical school and have my Medical Doctor degree and will be applying for residency this year in September. Therefore, you won't find a better tutor than me to help your children with their studies.... [more]
