Algebra 2 serves as an entryway into advanced math, science, finance, healthcare and more. This course extends Algebra 1 into non-linear functions such as exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. I employ the calculator as an invaluable tool for analyzing these functions, but I also encourage students to maintain a "feel for the road" through adequate hands-on problem solving. Having developed software for satellite ground control, I can share my experience using math in the real world. [more]
