I am from Las Cruces and excelled in science, math, and art throughout school. I completed a Bachelor's of Science degree from NMSU in the subject of Chemistry. I am now in the final classes of my Master's of Art in Curriculum and Instruction, also from New Mexico State. I have taught in two charter schools in New Mexico as the teacher of record, as a substitute teacher in many of the schools in the Las Cruces district, as well as tutoring at NMSU, and with private students. I have experi... [more]

I graduated from college with a degree in electrical engineering and it was tough to get! All of the struggle and hard work led me to really understand math at a deeper level than if I had just breezed through everything easily. By necessity I learned to develop methods that would get problems solved quickly and efficiently. Those are the things I feel I can share with a student. On top of that I have a lot patience and tolerance for mistakes because I've been there and know how frustrati... [more]

I graduated from NMSU with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Chemistry. My main goal is to help students learn and love subjects that might intimidate them, I want to remind them that anything is possible no matter how difficult things might appear. What I have noticed with students is that they automatically compare their intelligence with other people and let a grade define them as a student. Which in turn, discourages them from trying in subjects that they might not get as easily ... [more]

I have taken advanced math courses through calculus 3 and differential equations. I can help someone break down math problems so they are simpler to understand. I am a graduate student earning a PhD in Organic Chemistry from NMSU. I have experience as a teaching assistant and also as a coach, so I am familiar with how to teach young people and also how to get results. I will give you honest feedback and do my best to teach you, so that you can learn and develop good studying habits. I have taken advanced math courses and know how to explain problems to someone who may have trouble seeing h [more]

Hello! My name is Ms. Timi, which is a nickname, for my real first name seems to be unpronounceable for most Americans. I am originally from Budapest, Hungary, and I have been living in the U.S. for over 22 years. In Europe, we learned things slightly differently, which enables me to be able to approach math problems from several vantage points. I have worked with children of all ages: from age 3, up to 19. I taught in a Montessori school for ten years, and now I teach math at a nearby high ... [more]

Hi. I'm Dave. I'm recently retired from White Sands Missile Range where I served as a research physicist for 36 years. I've worked with over 70 co-authors on papers covering various aspects of atmospheric sciences and I am eager to share this knowledge with students in this area. My work has covered many aspects of mathematics, to include geometry, algebra (I and II), trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, Laplace/Legendre/Fourier functions, linear algebra, finite difference meth...
