Algebra 2 continues to lay the groundwork for higher level math subjects and often touches on real-world applications. As an engineer, translating the world into math (and showing how the math translates to the real world) is one of my primary goals with this subject. I attended Oklahoma Christian University to study Mechanical Engineering in 2007. In 2009, I began tutoring in an on-campus tutoring office and fell in love with tutoring. I graduated in December of 2011, but decided to continue pursuing private tutoring. I'm often asked why I don't pursue something relevant to my degree, but tut [more]

I am passionate about math and love sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with students. Math should be exciting, stimulating and doable for all students. I double majored in math and computer science at Skidmore College. I taught high school math for two years before returning to school to pursue a degree in dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. I started tutoring all ages of students as a sophomore in college. I have 10+ years of tutoring experience and 2+ years of classroom teachi... [more]

I tutor primarily Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 from middle school to college levels. After working with several students in these subjects, we can approach each topic in several ways to suit different learning styles. I started tutoring in college through a volunteer program at my university in 2014 and since then tutoring has grown into a passion for me. I have taught large groups for several years, but being able to work one on one with my students is a unique, personalized experience that makes learning much more comfortable. I love seeing my students grow and feel confident in areas they previ [more]

I am currently a Theology/ Ministry major at Southern Nazarene University. I have taken several classes in Microsoft Word, Access, Publisher, Powerpoint, and Excel. I have tutored for a few years now, and I love teaching as I know I am helping somebody who needs it. I have taught 1 on 1 for a while, and I feel I am great with nearly all ages. I work at the pace to which the stude... [more]

Algebra II focuses on polynomials of degree two and higher, rational expressions, complex numbers, logarithmic and exponential functions, and matrices. I have been tutoring math since 2000 working in a math lab for seven years at San Jacinto Junior College and a year at Oklahoma City Community College and also working as a Teaching Assistant at the Art Institute of Austin. I struggled with math coming out of high school and it never really clicked for me until my first college math class. The teacher I had was amazing and helped me realize how mu... [more]

Hey everyone! I'm Justin and I'm new to the OKC area but not the tutoring scene. I am a mechanical engineer working with jet engines at the local ALC. I graduated from ASU last May with my engineering degree Magna Cum Laude and a minor in leadership studies. Going through all different types of classes made me realize that the topic can only be as easy as the person teaching makes it out to be. Especially with math classes where you're memorizing formulas and applications, you need to have... [more]
