Began at Valencia College for over three years working in classes and helping students in outside sessions. From there, started tutoring individuals for the past two years. My favorite topics in this subject are logarithmic functions, systems of equations and inequalities, and radical functions. Mathematics was not always my strong suit and often brought difficult challenges with success feeling impossible. Now having faced these hurdles and coming to enjoy math, what stands out as the most helpful was the professors and classmates who taught clearly, step-by-step, and had fun with the topics. [more]

I tend to like the abstract... abstract art, abstract minds, abstract topics, etc. Perhaps abstract can be considered as "thinking out of the box." Algebra II is very much like that. It expounds upon the introduction of the abstract as presented in Algebra I; yet, in part II the mind must be able to retrain it's thinking to include what is extremely not normal... what is abstract! This is where I shine! Having a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, I am knowledgeable in the sciences, but I specialize in Mathematics: Elementary and Middle school Math, High School Pre-Algebr [more]

I graduated with the honor of Cum Laude from Florida State University this past May, 2017. I have tutored my peers at FSU in college algebra and statistics. This tutoring was completely voluntary, since I enjoyed helping my peers achieve better grades. I mostly tutored 1 on 1, but I've also participated in group tutoring with upwards of 5 students. In addition, I served as a mentor for close friends of mine regarding school and career goals. Throughout my school years, I have alw... [more]
