Algebra 2 is a complex subject because it requires that the student hold knowledge from previous years. Not only do they have to hold the knowledge but they are expected to take it to an extreme. Conics, trigonometry, unit circles, graphing, rational expression evaluations, binomial theorems, matrices and summations, I have done them all. I believe that students who take this class and want to progress onto calculus want to know why they use the above stated items. Not only do I emphasize the topic at hand, but I also tell students why they want to know their topic. [more]

I am a successful tutor because I pay attention to the student's current level of understanding and I can fill in the gaps. When you start from a person's current understanding and work upwards there is no limit to where you can go given time. My degrees are in Physics, I have worked in space physics, particle physics, atmospheric science, marine science (as a programmer so only a very basic knowledge), I completed math in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Applied Analysis. I worked as a compu... [more]

Most students at Crafton Hills College came into the tutoring center with questions about algebra 2. Because of this the bi-weekly training's focused on algebra 2 and customer service. In training I was asked to solve problems as clearly as possible and set up a step-by-step procedure for solving similar problems. I have always enjoyed tutoring. I first started tutoring at Crafton Hills College in the tutoring center there. I loved getting to know all the people who came down to the tutoring center.
