I am a tutor with advanced degrees and years of experience, but what matters most to me is the students I teach. I have experience with different grade-levels from middle school and high school to those taking college courses. I never give up until we create the success the student needs. So many standardized tests are required these days ? Academic Tutor Extraordinaire

My goal is to teach my students *how* to learn so they no longer need to rely on me. In addition to three Clear California Teaching Credentials (Math, English, and Multiple Subject), I have many years of experience as a teacher. My primary love is language, but I consider that to include math. As Mrs. B., my high school algebra teacher said, "Math is the universal language." I have experience tutoring English, geometry, algebra, AP-Euro, AP-US, AP-English, and test prep for PSAT, SAT, ACT, ... [more]

Recent bioengineering graduate with a love for teaching

I'm a graduate from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering. I grew up in California with an interest in eventually (one day!) getting a teaching degree; my mom had an elementary school assignment on the fridge for almost a decade where my life's ambition was to teach one day. In high school, I did tutoring here and there for some friends, helping them out with math and english (correcting essay drafts is my jam) and I also taught free piano le... [more]

Clearly, a knowledge of auto mechanics and science is a great help, but some of the answers can be figured out through logic -- assuming understanding of the question and possible answers. In that sense, it's much like the GED. While not an expert in science and mechanics (my son is a mechanic), I know enough to help. More importantly, I know how to take and teach this type of test so that a [more]
