Over the last 3 years, I have helped many students improve their math and English skills to prepare for the ASVAB test. One of my students raised his score from 22 to 35 after just a few weeks of tutoring, and now he is joining the army! I begin with a diagnostic test of the student's current abilities, which has the same types of questions found on the actual test. This is followed by an in-depth discussion of each question--not just the right answer, but the strategy the student can use to arrive at the right answer in seconds. I also work with students to help them prepare for the ASVAB [more]

"The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are, first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense." Thomas A. Edison The above captures all that I believe is necessary to succeed - in academics and athletics alike. I have found Edison's words to be true in my own experience, and I believe any student with a reasonable goal can achieve it by working hard, being relentless, but keeping a good head on his/her shoulders all the while. Soon after arriving at Bosto... [more]

If you hire me as your tutor, you bring a sharpened pencil (or two). Math is learned by doing. So when I tutor you, you will be doing (almost) all of the writing. I will explain the concepts and show you how to do the work, but you will do it. This way, you will remember how to do it better. I can teach or tutor nearly any math, at any level, including: Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and all levels of Calculus (and even a few higher math levels). I am a graduate math ... [more]

Recorded a perfect score on the ASVAB out of high school with no advance preparation. Recruiters at the busy Fort Dix were impressed with the record speed the test was taken with. With the training I have done since, I can easily and quickly upgrade your score by a significant percentage, by engaging you in my specialized course, boosting your critical thinking over short periods in order to achieve the superior results you deserve. Important for impressing your future NCO's and peers, it is also a very important factor in the job choices available to you in the military. Please consider me [more]

In high school, I obtained exceptional marks in the Word Knowledge, Arithmetic Reasoning, Paragraph Comprehension, Verbal Expression, and Mathematical Knowledge sections of the ASVAB. I cannot offer tutoring for any of the other sections. Hi, I am a graduate from Columbia University with a B.A. in Mathematics as well as an M.A. in Philosophy. I have eight years of exp [more]

I can do all ASVAB questions in my head without writing. Math major. I tutor ASVAB every day, and I can individualize the curriculum for you so that you can remember all the ASVAB related things from high school that you have forgotten. You'll think where was I your whole life. Due to my lifelong infatuation with mental math, I can do almost all ASVAB math problems in my head without paper or calculator. That saves a lot of time for the students when they work with me. I also provide the students with a lot of free videos of my sessions as well as pdf books. [more]
