I have taken one undergraduate statistics course covering basic statistics, one 500-level course covering multiple regression and ANOVA, one 700-level course on biostatistics, and an 800-level course covering advanced multivariate regression, time-series analysis, and spatial statistics. Puzzled about how the Krebs and the Calvin cycles fit in with the carbon cycle? Want to know how muscles and nerves function? Frustrated by the difference between standard deviation and standard error? Need help on ANOVA, ANCOVA, and linear regression? Ever wonder how economic numbers are seasonally-adjust [more]

I have tutored medical students studying for the USMLE step exams for over 4 years. I have also created small group handouts and lectures on the topic of biostatistics. Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Kyle V., MD. I have over four years of 1-on-1 tutoring experience at the PASS Program, a USMLE/comlex/NBME test preparation program that covers all Basic Sciences curriculum for medicine. As a tutor at the PASS Program, I have experience not only with teaching material, but also working with test anxiety, ADHD, and depression in adult learners. The program also focused on teaching and practicing proper tes [more]

I earned a Masters in Public Health from U of M. The degree consisted of graduate training in Epidemeology and Biostatistics. I have continued my education, and have even started reviewing/writing medical papers. I am a very knowledgeable tutor with degrees in business, public health, toxicology, and pharmacy. I am looking to assist in the matriculation of college students, and to help them absorb the lessons. College is not easy, and sometimes we just need someone to help provide a little extra 1 on 1 help in a subject. That's where I come in!! Years and years of math. I have taken adv [more]

My PhD research has been around the statistical analysis of large scale biological data of RA patients. I have 2 publications in which statistics has been extensively used to analyze and test multiple hypotheses to identify pathways that regulate gene expressions in RA patients. I am Poulami. I have completed my PhD thesis in Bioinformatics. I have immense interest in Biology since my high-school days. I have been fortunate to be tutored by excellent teachers who helped me build a strong base in Biology. In the course of learning the subject, I have imbibed in me the teaching skills from my me [more]

I am now teaching Biostatistics courses at the Department of Biostatistics, UofL. I recently graduated PhD in Statistics at Case Western Reserve University, OH. When I was a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for 5 years. I am now working as a Teaching Postdoc Scholar at Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, University of Louisville from July, 2013.... [more]

BioStatistics is extremely similar to other statistics courses. The calculations are the same. The statistical and probability interpretations are the same. Only difference is that the problems use BioStast data rather than some other type of data. I am very familiar with the type of calculations and interpretations of numbers and can do either TI calculator, Excel, or MegaStat stats calcs. Unfortunately, I have never done SPSS. I have taught statistics and also tutored my WyzAnt students and references are available. [more]

I'm currently a PhD student in biology at Bowling Green State University. I've taught statistics at the collegiate level at the University of Michigan during my graduate studies for my master's degree. I've also used biostats to publish research. I am currently a PhD student at Bowling Green State University in biology. I've taught science at both the high school and college level. I'm currently teaching a biology course at BGSU. My main teaching interests are in biology, ecology, math, English, and Spanish. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, an [more]

I received a chemical engineering degree and an MBA. I've been tutoring statistics for a decade. Biostatistics is just one form of statistics. I have been tutoring kids from K-12 for the last 10 years. I also prepare high school students for the ACT. I have a background in Chemical Engineering and excel in math and science categories. I also have my MBA. I am available on week nights and weekends to tutor. I can help students improve their current grades. I can also help students achieve their goal on the ACT by doing ACT preparation.... [more]

I was originally a Bioinformatics major for a few years before I transferred to Applied Mathematics and Statistics. I have training in both Biological Sciences and Statistics. I also participated in a statistical genetic research internship where I had a paper published in collaboration with other statisticians. I am motivated by the ability to see others understand aspects in life better. This takes hard work and dedication in order to ensure success on both ends. I truly enjoyed the positive impacts I made on students while teaching 2 semesters of pre-calculus/calculus recitation sections an [more]

At the University of Maryland, I took a Biostatistics course and received a grade of A. Additionally, when I was in high school, I took Statistics as well. I have taught biostatistics (basic statistics) as a teaching assistant for an Introductory Biology course when discussing genetics and population ecology. Additionally, I have experience with biostatistics in my Genetics and Biology Courses. I am currently a medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland College Park in 2014, having majored in Ce [more]
