I remember when I first learned about confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and sampling distributions in my first college Statistics course. I was amazed how elegant and powerful these concepts were. Since then, I have taken Mathematical Statistics, Data Analysis & Visualization, and Econometrics and received A or A+ in all of them. I even did research in Biostatistics/Paleobiology and published my own paper. I am on my way to become a PhD student in Statistics. In the meantime, I have tutored many students in College Level Biostatistics, High School Biostatistics, and R and R Studio. I loo [more]

As a statistics major at UC Davis, I earned an A or A- in all of my 10 statistics classes in college. Many of these classes used data typically used in biostatistics, such as medical information and animal population data. I've helped a few people taking specifically biostatistics in addition to over a dozen students taking other statistics classes. I graduated with honors from UC Davis with double major in Psychology and Statistics and minor in Education. I earned a 3.97 GPA and received two outstanding performance awards for being one of the top students in each major. Additionally, I scored [more]

I took and succeeded in biostatistics, a course called Categorical Data Analysis, while getting my MPH at Berkeley. I also used biostats in a variety of other courses including Nutritional Epidemiology and Causal Inference. While completing my MPH and dietetics coursework, I worked as a Graduate Student Instructor for the past 3 years at University of California, Berkeley. I have taught Introduction to Human Nutrition (5 times) as well as Public Health Aspects of Maternal & Child Health, Introduction to Food Science, and Human Food Practices. I am an effective epidemiology, nutrition, biology [more]

I have teaching experience on this subject. I was a Biostatistics Teaching Assistant (TA) at UCSF when I was a PhD student. At work I use biostatistical methods such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, T-test, chi-square test, correlation analysis, etc. I am a Data Scientist at IBM Big Data Analytics. I received my PhD in Bioengineering from UC-Berkeley/UCSF (jointly) and have BS and MS degrees in electrical and control engineering. I offer tutoring and homework/project help for undergrad and grad level courses in areas such as math, statistics, data science (machine learning, data min [more]

My experience with Biostatistics is fairly extensive. When I took the course, I excelled and earned an A throughout the entire semester. Since then, I have successfully tutored several undergraduate students in both Biostatistics and other similar statistics courses. My research and data analysis experience have also exposed me to practical applications of biostatistics, such as ANOVA, Tukey tests, correlation, and regression. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Science (Medical and Veterinary Sciences option). [more]

I am well versed in the fundamentals of Statistics and research methods involving, Study Design, ANOVA, and Linear Regression. I learned these skills through upper division study in my career at UC Davis, and by tutoring several students in upper-division and master's level Stat courses. Over the past five years I've worked with hundreds of students in math and statistics courses. Subject matter ranges from Pre-Algebra through Calculus, Introduction/Elementary Statistics, AP and Honors HS math and statistics courses, and college (lower division) math, calculus, and statistics courses (includin [more]

I am a graduate student in biostatistics and I have completed the courses of DPH 623 & 723 as core courses of the program. In both the subjects I have maintained an A grade. I have tutored the freshman students for the introduction of biostatistics as a beginner course. I have also taught the Doctor of Nursing Practice Students with the capstone projects which need many biostatistical calculations and interpretations. I love to tutor. Currently I am working as a tutor in University of Southern Mississippi for biostatistics and epidemiology. I have a past experience of tutoring dental school st [more]

As a graduate student studying Ecology at UC Berkeley, I have to be knowledgeable about and comfortable with a wide range of statistical tests and theories that apply to biological concepts. I have taken two years of college level statistics courses and use statistics every day in my research. I am well-versed in R (a common statistical program) as well as comfortable performing many basic statistical functions in Excel. I have tutored undergraduates in Basic Biostatistics 1 and 2 and trained two lab assistants in the use of Excel and R for statistical purposes. [more]
