As in any other statistics course, the concepts, methods, and operations are identical. The only difference between each is the type of data analyzed and in this case, biological data will be explored. Whether you need assistance in understanding the difference between the three measures of central tendency or in conducting a chi-square goodness-of-fit test at alpha = 0.05 and d.f. = 20, I will convey both the rationale and method of any statistical topic discussed in your course to your benefit. Apart from taking biostatistics courses in grad school, my research thesis focused on statistical analysis of protein expression in bacteria. During these two years, I applied several data analysis techniques and performed regression modeling to predict the abundance of protein in the species. This allowed me to develop new ways of applying statistics and computational mathematics in solving a biological problem. This, I believe, is the heart of biostatistics. I have a graduate degree in Molecular Biology and Statistics. [more]

I have taken a semester of Biostatistics and have also helped several students with it. Admittedly, I am not that proficient in the biological aspects of it, but I am very much proficient in its statistical aspects and I have tutored a number of Applied Statistics courses. Tutoring in the San Antonio area. I have a B.S. in Mathematics and a minor in Physics from Prairie View A&M University. My approach to tutoring is flexible and, more to the point, effective. While I do have a general strategy I employ for certain subjects, I can adapt and modify it to meet the individual needs of my studen [more]

I have been a college professor teaching statistics to both undergraduates and graduates, and have tutored statistics through WyzAnt since 2012. I am especially proficient in the statistics used in biostatistics applications, which are used in most health-care courses of study and research. These techniques include those used, for example, to determine the effectiveness of medication, or in epidemiological studies of disease transmission or causes of death. The statistics used are standard means comparisons, but also analysis of variance and especially multivariate regression and correlation - [more]

I have taken the course of biostatistics for which I received a B+. I used statistical analysis of biological data often when employed as research assistant at MTSU. I have integrated possible statistical analyses in experimental designs in order to prepare for parametric and nonparametric datasets. I have three years of tutoring experience and was employed by Middle Tennessee State University to provide tutoring services to students in individual and group sessions. I have experience breaking down complex and abstract ideas into easily understandable and relatable material. I am always prepar [more]

I have taken 36 hours in statistical courses during my last Masters degree alone. These courses included the following course titles: Multivariate Statistics I/II, Biostatistics, Descriptive Statistics in Education Research, Environmental Data Collection Methods, and Hierarchical Linear Modeling in Psychological and Educational Research. I as a result have extensively used biostatistics to obtain my second Masters degree and complete my higher education. I have experience in teaching for well over 5 years, at the collegiate level. I am capable of tutoring high school and middle school levels [more]

I have a Ph.D. in statistics. Most of my research publications are in biology journals. I am a professor and typically teach biology and pharmacy students. I have a Ph. D. in statistics and a degree in Math and Statistics from USC. I am a professor of mathematics and statistics, and a graduate of Rice University. After graduating number one in my class, and working as a professor for almost 15 years, I have decided to tutor part time. I love helping students! I tutor all levels of mathematics and statistics from grade school to graduate school. My 30 years of tutoring experience makes [more]

I'm a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics with a great experience and skills in teaching and tutoring. I teach and tutor Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics to students of all levels: from middle school to graduate students. I've successfully taught and tutored Biostatistics and have scientific results, connected to studies in Biology, some of them being connected to studies in Biostatistics: a) Taught Bioinformatics and Biostatistics. b) Took part in study of 'Signal, chaotic, & pseudo-chaotic behavior of live and artificial systems'. c) Proved optimality of Biological Coding. d) As [more]
