I remember when I first learned about confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, and sampling distributions in my first college Statistics course. I was amazed how elegant and powerful these concepts were. Since then, I have taken Mathematical Statistics, Data Analysis & Visualization, and Econometrics and received A or A+ in all of them. I even did research in Biostatistics/Paleobiology and published my own paper. I am on my way to become a PhD student in Statistics. In the meantime, I have tutored many students in College Level Biostatistics, High School Biostatistics, and R and R Studio. I loo [more]

As a statistics major at UC Davis, I earned an A or A- in all of my 10 statistics classes in college. Many of these classes used data typically used in biostatistics, such as medical information and animal population data. I've helped a few people taking specifically biostatistics in addition to over a dozen students taking other statistics classes. I graduated with honors from UC Davis with double major in Psychology and Statistics and minor in Education. I earned a 3.97 GPA and received two outstanding performance awards for being one of the top students in each major. Additionally, I scored [more]

I have teaching experience on this subject. I was a Biostatistics Teaching Assistant (TA) at UCSF when I was a PhD student. At work I use biostatistical methods such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, T-test, chi-square test, correlation analysis, etc. I am a Data Scientist at IBM Big Data Analytics. I received my PhD in Bioengineering from UC-Berkeley/UCSF (jointly) and have BS and MS degrees in electrical and control engineering. I offer tutoring and homework/project help for undergrad and grad level courses in areas such as math, statistics, data science (machine learning, data min [more]

I took biostatistics in college and through UC Berkeley Extension. I received an A in both classes. It is a very interesting subject. I have helped students achieve great success, and I'd like to continue helping more students with any difficulty they have. I hold a B.A. in molecular and cell biology from University of California at Berkeley and a B.S. in health Science from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I love teaching and enjoy working with students of all ages. I served as a teacher's assistant in my math, English and Chinese classes since I excelled in those classes during [more]

As a graduate student studying Ecology at UC Berkeley, I have to be knowledgeable about and comfortable with a wide range of statistical tests and theories that apply to biological concepts. I have taken two years of college level statistics courses and use statistics every day in my research. I am well-versed in R (a common statistical program) as well as comfortable performing many basic statistical functions in Excel. I have tutored undergraduates in Basic Biostatistics 1 and 2 and trained two lab assistants in the use of Excel and R for statistical purposes. [more]
