I took Calculus 2 and 3 my freshman year of college, and have since put them to practice in tutoring locations such as the Brandon HCC and the University of South Florida. I have a copy of a text which encompasses all three of the Calculus classes- differential, integral, and multi-variable. I also stay up to date on topics in Calculus using websites. As the oldest of four, I have taught since a very early age. I officially started tutoring in high school through the Math Club, and have tutored at the HCC campuses of Southshore, Brandon, and Plant City. I have also tutored for USF and Knowledg [more]

I have been a Teaching Assistant at USF for over 2 years and I have been privately tutoring also for the last 2 years. I have taught classes at the college level including General Physics Lab courses and Problem Solving Sections. I have experience in communicating general physics concepts to students with either a Calculus or Algebra-based background. I enjoy helping students learn about physics. I like to focus on understanding the physical concepts, because it leads to an easier under... [more]

Calculus is a subject that must be understood by anyone hoping to major in physics and math. As a physics/math major I feel that I know this subject very well. Again, my experience as a tutor at Hillsborough Community College has given me much confidence in my ability to be a tutor for this subject. I began college as a tuba/jazz performance major and at some point realized that music was not the path for me. While taking my general education requirements, I came to find that I enjoy the thrill of math and science. I still work as a musician but appreciate music more because of my math ski [more]

I have been tutoring precalc, Calc I, and Calc II for several years now. I recently relocated from the northeast to Wesley Chapel, FL in order to be closer to family and be as far away from those cold snowy winters as possible. For the better part of 10 years I played professional poker, which requires a high level of intelligence, keen observation and adaptability, and a strong foundation in mathematics. On top of that, I started a private SAT prep business with a former English Professor in Philadelphia in 2004. He took care of the English, I took care of t... [more]

I am a recent graduate from USF. I studied electrical engineering. I have two years experience tutoring and love to learn and teach. I worked as a tutor at the USF Academic Success Center as a Calculus and Physics tutor. I am physics PhD graduate student that has taken 6 college courses on calculus related topics. I have also successfully tutored severed students in Calculus topics. Forwarding knowledge is one of my biggest passions, especially when it's about physics. The elegant science that people sometimes don't understand, when in fact, it's not that complicated. My goal in teaching is making complicated science topics, comprehensible. Through my experience, I've seen the common mistakes that cause students to struggle while learning a new topic. I happened to me !!! While working with a student, I try [more]

My undergraduate degree is in Electrical Engineering. In achieving that degree, I successfully completed many math courses (nearly enough for a math minor). I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and I'm pursuing a PhD. I have taken my love for science and math and combined them. While in High School, I took six years of Math and Physics. I also took lots of science courses and I got 97% for math and physics. When I went off to college I took science, math and engineering to combi... [more]
