I took Calculus 2 and 3 my freshman year of college, and have since put them to practice in tutoring locations such as the Brandon HCC and the University of South Florida. I have a copy of a text which encompasses all three of the Calculus classes- differential, integral, and multi-variable. I also stay up to date on topics in Calculus using websites. I hold a Bachelors in Secondary Mathematics Education from USF, and I taught for 5 years in both public and private schools teaching math and science. As the oldest of four, I have tutored since a very early age. I officially started tutoring in [more]

I have tutored students in Calculus since 2005, while I was still attending High School and have continued private tutoring since. I also tutored professionally at HCC Brandon Campus' Academic Success Center. I worked there while completing my Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the USF from January 2010 to July 2013. Calculus is a subject that must be understood by anyone hoping to major in physics and math. As a physics/math major I feel that I know this subject very well. Again, my experience as a tutor at Hillsborough Community College has given me much confidence in my ability to be a tutor for this subject. I began college as a tuba/jazz performance major and at some point realized that music was not the path for me. While taking my general education requirements, I came to find that I enjoy the thrill of math and science. I still work as a musician but appreciate music more because of my math ski [more]

I am a public speaker and love to zap anyone with the "I can do it" attitude about life long learning. B.S. in Mathematics -- MATH and reading are my passions! Prior tutoring successes have included algebra 1 tutoring of a flunking student who not only passed that course, but became an engineer because he found he liked math and science. Another student was flunking trigonometry. He came to me the NIGHT BEFORE the final, stating he had to pass that exam with a B or better. He made an A o... [more]

I was a TA for 4 semesters for engineering and general science calculus I, I ran the required problem solving sessions. All TA's were also required to do departmental tutoring for Calculus I-III for students as well as one-on-one sessions in the form of office hours. My degree in physics is also quite heavy on the calculus so aside from taking the calculus classes specifically my degree curriculum had calculus in all the classes. I'm a current graduate student in Applied Physics at the University of South Tampa. As a graduate assistant at USF, I teach the general physics labs, recitation/probl [more]

I took AP Calculus BC online when I was in 11th grade without taking AP Calculus AB first and I got a 5 on the AP exam. Many people think of calculus as being a very difficult math class, but it is mostly just new concepts that require students to think differently than in most of their previous math classes. I have tutored many different people in Calculus and all of my students have rated me positively . Hello, my name is Jaron and I have been tutoring several years. I graduated from Florida Polytechnic University in May 2018 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 4.0 GPA. I speciali [more]
