I have over 100 hours of experience tutoring Calculus, including AP Calculus BC, college intro calculus, and advanced calculus. I help the student to master the procedures and also to gain insight into their meaning. I obtained a perfect score on the ETS Praxis II Math Content teacher candidate exam, which tests knowledge of all school math subjects, including Calculus. My formal preparation includes over 100 hours of grad and undergrad math study including courses in graduate level analysis and differential geometry. [more]

During the course of my physics education, I have taken a significant number of math courses, including calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. My time as a physics TA has occasionally led to students asking for math related help to complete their physics work. These topics have included calculus, differential equations, and algebra. I have recently finished my Bachelor's degree in physics at WPI. I have been a lab instructor and grader, and grader and tutor for college freshman and sophomore level physics courses (I explain this in more detail below). Through that, I have needed [more]

If you are looking for someone to help you where others have failed, or if you just want the best, then I'm definitely your tutor. If you know the concepts, the test results follow, but test taking strategies are also emphasized. I specialize in college level courses but am willing to tutor the highly motivated college-bound high sch... [more]

I am a patient math tutor that loves to challenge people who think "Math is hard." Indeed, math is not the easiest of subjects but once it is PROPERLY explained to a student, it will be much easier to understand. I've taught math after school at the High School level in Queens and tutored students at York College during my attendance there. I've scored on the William Lowell mathematical competition (most people score a zero) the first three years I took it. My goal is to help you fully unders... [more]

Calculus was the subject that first sparked my interest in becoming a math major. Needless to say, I am good at explaining this subject clearly and correctly. Calculus has a scary reputation but with a qualified guide you can conquer it! I make this subject much less stress, so let me know if you're in need of assistance! Hello! As part of my Major in Physics, I studied and made extensive use of the Calculus I learned as an undergrad. I also studied Analysis (Calculus at grad level) in Graduate School. Calculus is an important subject for studying any phenomenon that involve continuous change (whether in Physics, Business, Biology, demography , engineering, etc.) This subject has so many uses and applications it is essential for many careers. I am very familiar with this subject and I can teach you to use it like a pro. [more]

I am a CT certified Mathematics/Physics Secondary teacher, who has taught Mathematics for 12 years. Having a degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics, I have had to use Calculus to solve real world problems. I can give the student an insight into the concepts, applications and solution strategies involved in Calculus. Topics covered range from the Cartesian plane and function through conic sections, multiple integrations and infinite series. My educational background consists of a Bachelors of Science in Physics, and a Master of Science in Education, specializing in Secondary Mathematics [more]
