Calculus is one of my favorite subjects. I have taught and tutored calculus for about 8 years, and I have a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. I tutor both differential and integral calculus, which are usually listed as calculus 1 and 2, respectively, at most high schools and colleges. Calculus has many applications in the real world; I use these applications as part of my teaching methods. Symbol manipulation (e.g. computing derivatives or antiderivatives) is a common theme throughout calculus, and I am familiar with many tricks and methods for helping solve the variety of problems that [more]

Hello! A little info about me... I love to teach! It's as simple (and challenging) as that. As a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program at Northern Kentucky University, and a published co-author of a journal entry to The Journal of Ethnomathematics, I love all levels of math! I truly love to share that love through teaching and my specialty is tutoring algebra through college level calculus. Oooh, I just love to teach trig and calculus! I also love to help peop... [more]

I have worked with many students in high school and college classes on single-variable calculus. This includes helping students prepare for AP calculus classes, both AB and BC versions, working through college-level coursework, and also doing independent preparation for calculus outside of a formal class. It seems like teaching has always been a part of my life, whether I was helping classmates with assignments at school, practicing my campers' Bar Mitzvah prep with them at camp, or formally tutoring. Education is a high priority for me, and I enjoy helping those who are struggling with theirs [more]

I love teaching all fields of mathematics and statistics. Making an impact to someone?s life through advancement of maths in his/her life is my passion. I am only beginning to teach as a tutor. In grad school I was a teaching assistant during my doctorate degree. I believe that teaching has two components which are married to each other - knowledge, and understanding between teacher and student. I practice this in my teaching. My minor in phd was in statistics and data mining, and I use a ... [more]
