I took Calculus I, II, and III at Norco College. Also, I occasionally tutored people in Calculus at Norco College. More recently, I taught a student the first few chapters of her calculus book to prepare her for taking Calculus BC at her high school. My passion for mathematics began when I was in 11th grade. As a homeschooled student, I had a flexible schedule which allowed me to take Algebra II at Norco College. I had an amazing professor who made me realize how fun math is. After that, I decided to major in math. In May 2012, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's in Mathematics. [more]

The most valuable skills I utilize in tutoring math and physics are communication and student assessment. My technique is to focus on understanding a student?s thought process, and then teach the subject in the way that best fits that student?s thought process. Once the student understands the subject according to their own natural thought process, there is no need to memorize steps, because the student now truly understands the subject. This leads to the student reasoning their way to solu... [more]

I have a Masters in Math from Cal State Fullerton and have spent a considerable amount of time tutoring students privately as well as running collab... [more]

I started tutoring about 8 years ago and I love it. I've taught students of all ages from Grade 1 to College Level. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I hope to one day teach part time at a University. When I tutor a student, I take as long as needed for them to fully grasp the concept. Understanding the subject makes studying a pleasurable experience. I've had students change their major after having a good experience with a subject. Students often request last minute sessions to... [more]

As an employed Math tutor in Irvine Valley College, I taught almost all math cl... [more]

I taught this subject for many years and can lecture entire curriculum by memory. I know of the common mistakes students make in applying many of the concepts. I can also teach tips and tricks that will facilitate mastery of the topics. In my 15 plus years of tutoring, I've had the pleasure of working many students from all walks of life and with a wide range of abilities. My favorite part of tutoring and helping students is being there to witness their "ah ha!" moment. The moment of true and pure understanding. The revelation that it all works, so long as they apply the right tools and c [more]

I have a very strong background in Science and Mathematics. In fact, I had been a teacher's assistant for Calculus while I was still in high school. I got a 5 in the AP exam and breezed through calculus during college. Also, during my undergraduate studies, I tutored several students in various Sciences. I started in a 7-year combined program for an accelerated Medical Program, but did not go to Medical school as I decided to focus on preventative healthcare. I am still fascinated by the hum... Hi all, A little bit about myself - my name is Paul, I'm 28, and I graduated from Columbia University. I've taught every level of high school math for 10 years now (up to AP Calc BC for high school, and Ordinary Differential Equations for college). I have gotten perfect scores on everything relating to math (SAT I Math, SAT Math IIC, AP Calculus AB & BC, etc), and I qualified for the AIME as only a sophomore. But more importantly, I have the rare ability to remove the anxiety that learning... [more]
