I have studied calculus in college. I have tutored 2 different students in AP Calculus AB in different years (2014-2015 and 2015-2016). I majored in Computer Science in college of Oklahoma. On May 5, 2016, my tutoring student, who is an honor student, just took an AP test and had the confidence to improve by 5 points. Over the last 4 years, I have been teaching mostly high school math--either at home or at a nearby SAT tutor school. I have taught geometry, algebra 1 & 2, trigonometry, AP Calculus AB, and the math portions of the SAT & ACT. Most of my students were 9th to 12th graders. And I [more]

I am working in college as a math tutor for 20 hours a week. I help students in algebra, calculus, and trigonometry. ?If you know MATH, you can make sense of everything.? I can apply my deep knowledge of math in junior school education to assist students with areas that they are not too comfortable with. My name is Minoo; I speak Farsi and English, and I have bachelor's degree in math from Tehran University, and passing 24 units of pre-calculus, calculus, and linear algebra with grade "A" in the college in order to update my knowledge. Now, I am teaching in the college as a math tutor. Hig [more]

I received my Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 from UCLA through which I have taken many advanced level math and science courses. Previously, I have worked performing research in biotechnology; testing and developing cancer therapeutics. Also over the last five years, I have been tutoring students part-time at all levels of high school math and science. In doing so, I have become very passionate about teaching, such that I have transitioned from the biotechnology ... [more]

Calculus was my first love affair, from the first time I asked in algebra, "what if you could divide by something as it becomes zero" and my teacher gifted me his calculus book to investigate. Literally, ask me anything, I will remember, from the definition of the derivative as a limit to how the integral takes the value of a point and translates it into a slope and beyond into series and infinity and back (if you don't mind some projective geometry). Mathematics is my specialty, but my interests spread broadly and deeply. My tutoring method is a combination of Polya and AVID, I use problem so [more]

I have tutored Calculus 1-3 extensively throughout my undergraduate degree. Hello! I am a first year graduate student at Universitaet Ulm in Biophysics in Germany. I completed my undergrad in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have worked as a lab assistant in my department's undergraduate chemistry lab. I have over four years of tutoring experience, three of which are in undergraduate chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I have worked in a graduate physical chemistry research lab for my entire undergraduate experience. Throughout my und... [more]

I taught this subject for many years and can lecture entire curriculum by memory. I know of the common mistakes students make in applying many of the concepts. I can also teach tips and tricks that will facilitate mastery of the topics. In my 15 plus years of tutoring, I've had the pleasure of working many students from all walks of life and with a wide range of abilities. My favorite part of tutoring and helping students is being there to witness their "ah ha!" moment. The moment of true and pure understanding. The revelation that it all works, so long as they apply the right tools and c [more]

I have been tutoring many high school and college students in calculus, pre-calculus, AP calculus. I help students with their homework assignments and explain the material as we go through it. They all made big improvement in the test. I have a Ph.D. in Physics, University of North Texas and a Physics Postdoc at Univeristy of British Columbia, Canada. I graduated in physics PHD in 2004! I have worked in University for many years and have a great experience in teaching college students. I am also a MATH COUNTS tutor for Middle school students and Olympiad tutor for high school students. I hav [more]

I'm yasna! I'm a first year college student at UC Irvine! I'm planning to get a degree in computer science. My favorite subjects are math and physics. I took AP physics and AP calculus as well as the AP tests in highschool. I am also taking math and physics in college and plan to pursue a career involving both subjects. I have a great passion for teaching and am very patient with students while doing so. I will explain the topic in the easiest way to understand, yet will go in depth about w... [more]

The most valuable skills I utilize in tutoring math and physics are communication and student assessment. My technique is to focus on understanding a student?s thought process, and then teach the subject in the way that best fits that student?s thought process. Once the student understands the subject according to their own natural thought process, there is no need to memorize steps, because the student now truly understands the subject. This leads to the student reasoning their way to solu... [more]

I have a mathematics degree. I am very proficient in all calculus concepts and have gone well above these courses which gives me an advantage for teaching other people. I tutor over 30 students in calculus currently. I love teaching, and helping others achieve great things in life! I believe more people need more help in more areas of life than we take for granted. My specialties are Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. I am an Upper Mathematics and Physics teacher at On Track School. I am proficient in each subject. I have a Physics and Mathematics degree and am fluent in algebra, geometry, [more]
