I have had many years of learning and using calculus in the process of getting three engineering degrees. As a teacher, I have also completed the College Board AP Calculus workshop for teachers, and have tutored in the subject for two years. I have always loved learning, and I want to share that experience with my students. After spending 16 years as a professional scientist in the field of medicine, I have decided to focus on helping my children and other students with their academic quest. I can take the pain out of learning new things, share my enthusiasm and make school interesting. I [more]

I have 15 years of experience teaching both College level Calculus and AP Calculus. I have many practice exams for AP calculus. I have 24 years of experience teaching high school and college level mathematics as well as individualized tutoring. I love helping students figure out mathematics. I really struggled at first and I understand that each student thinks about mathematics differently. My goal is to figure out how each student learns and devise a plan to help that student reach their goals. Two years ago, I helped a junior in high school girl go from crying every time she took a math [more]

Greetings, Personal development is a process that occurs at every stage of one?s life and allows one to realize a potential that arises within the heart of our boldest dreams. Tutoring offers a profound level of engagement, wherein both the student and the tutor define and refine goals along their pursuit of excellence. I agree with Howard Gardner?s conclusion that there are multiple learning styles, yet seek to define an accurate means to appeal to a student?s learning style in a man... [more]

My greatest passion in life is teaching. I experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I received my Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from UNLV this past December. During my Ph.D. period of study, I taught several undergraduate courses. My aspiration for education led me to gain more teaching experiences beyond my duties as a graduate assista... [more]

My name is Dustin C. I attended UNLV and received my BS in Mathematics and a minor in Physics. I am also a third degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate where I taught students from ages 3 through adults. My take on education that education is primarily performance based. It is my job to understand what you know, what you need to know in order to accomplish your goals, and how we will get you to your goal. To get the best out of you in the smallest amount of time so you can see and feel yo... [more]

I have a BS Math, with a few units in MS Math. I have taught mathematics here and abroad, including Calculus. The bachelor's degree that I have earned is in mathematics. But before I came to United States, I was teaching Integral Calculus, Discrete Structures, Differential Equations, and Automata Theory at Angeles University Foundation College of Computer Studies. I taught there for 5 years (1995-2000), while I was taking my post-graduate (MS Math) studies. Right now, I'm working as a math teacher in a high school in Henderson. This means that I have a wide range of knowledge in math, and [more]

My name is Jerry and I've been tutoring all levels of HS and college Math and Physics for the past 7 years. I enjoy helping students, and my students like the way I explain hard to understand concepts in Math and Physics. I believe in a "simplistic" approach to teaching Math and Physics. I strive to teach Math and Physics without a lot of theoretical jargon and I teach a methodical approach to solving problems. While at the University of Arizona, I majored in Nuclear Engineering; I have a... [more]

I'm on my third year of the PhD in Biophysics. During this time and previously I've been teaching Math and Physics for engineering students at the University of Sao Paulo. I love tutoring because I know how difficult can be understanding science, that's why I always try to explain with simple examples and repeating all the time my students need until they get the right idea. My principal advice for the students who want to understand Math, is to organize ideas in order to have a methodology f... [more]
