After the fall semester of 2013, I just completed my first semester of Calculus at CSUDH and I have also taken a Business Calculus at Cypress Community College. This has allowed for fortified knowledge of derivatives, curve sketching through the use of derivatives, related rates etc. All these pre specified items are essential to a calculus student and items that I love to work with. Furthermore, Calculus 2 students enjoy my knowledge involving finding the volume/surface areas of curves being rotated about an axis, series, sequences, and parametric graphing. Overall my Calculus knowledge [more]

Seeing a student succeed is the best part about being a tutor. I have helped many students earn higher grades and better test scores than they ever thought possible. My method of teaching is geared towards complete comprehension and mastery of a topic; I will ensure that your student can work out test problems and employ critical thinking skills on their own. Every student has the potential to succeed in any subject; I am only here to fill in the gaps of knowledge and show them that learning ... [more]

Hello everyone, My name is Maria and I am currently working on my Masters in Mathematics. I've been tutoring for over 5 years now and it is a very rewarding profession. Ultimately my goal is to become a Community College professor. I have had the opportunity to tutor students of all ages and all walks of life. Personally I believe that this has made me a much better tutor. I've developed the ability to explain things in 3 or 4 different ways. I've been able to perceive if a student is ... [more]

Hello potential tutees! I'm a 28 year old certified math teacher. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. My major required a broad-range of higher level mathematics and science courses. While an undergrad, I started tutoring for a small, private tutoring company. I tutored in subjects ranging from Physics to Calculus. One of my students was even accepted to Stanford! This is my fifth year teaching mathematics in the classroo... [more]

Early on in my life, one class I felt that made sense always was math. I challenged myself and got to the highest math class I could get in, which was Calc BC at my high school. I have tutored for Precalculus, Calculus and most math subjects from 9th-grade math to calculus. I love helping other students excel in the subject they do not like and try to make it easy for them to learn. I'm currently enrolled to study at UCR this September for computer engineering, so I've been prepared rigoro... [more]

I love to assist students in Calculus because I find that helping in Calculus also helps in other subjects whether now or later on down line. I myself enjoy both math and science. I like to assess every student's needs individually. I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics with an Astrophysics option and can tutor Math and Physics (also Chemistry, Biology, Geology, etc.). I have a creative side also and see a connection between science, math and art. I love to help students realize their full potential in a subject where many think they cannot do it. Sometimes a student is having problems [more]

I have not only taken the standard 1 year course in calculus, but I have also taken multivariate calculus and differential equations which uses calculus extensively. I am a college student looking to tutor people in Math and other subjects as well. I love to help people understand subjects and even try and make them enjoy it. I attended College of the Desert in Palm Desert for two years, and received my associates in mathematics. I am now a student at the University of California, Riverside, majoring in Computer Science. I have a large amount of experience tutoring STEM subjects and have he [more]

Calculus is my strong suit in mathematics - I took the AP Calculus course in high school as well as Honors Calculus I and Honors Calculus II at the University level. I tutor Calculus most often out of all other types of Maths, and am very familiar with the general concepts presented in the course. Additionally, my main role in the Mathematics Resource Center during undergrad was as the Calculus tutor (Pre-calculus - Calculus III). Hello! My name is Hakeem. I am a recent graduate from Xavier University of Louisiana, where I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I began tutoring in August 201 [more]
