I have extensive experience tutoring a broad range of math, chemistry, and physics courses. I've been freelance tutoring for 5+ years and also have several years of experience tutoring for universities. On top of that I have been a teaching assistant in physics for 3 years. I can tutor both lower level and upper level math and physics classes, from high school level to sophmore/junior college level. My approach to teaching is based on you're needs as student. I am an engineer with a company near Fort Collins and a former middle school math teacher with the Humboldt Unified School District. I am constantly working to learn new teaching methods and techniques. I started tutoring when I was 16 years old helping my younger brother learn algebra. While a student at Embry-Riddle, I continued tutoring in Calculus and Physics. I love seeing the light bulb moments when a student comprehends a subject that they thought would be impossible to grasp. My tea... [more]

I have a bachelors degree in chemistry from a small school in Arkansas, though I took organic chemistry for majors at our own CSU! I love chemistry, am a nerd through and through. During my studies, I tutored in organic chemistry, as well as doing TA work for a chemistry class. Additionally, I've had seven internships in organic, analytical, polymer, and forensic chemistry, the most recent of which were in Germany! All that required a bit of technical writing, and I enjoy creative languag... [more]

I have been tutoring math since I was in high school, taking more of a teaching role in grad school. As an undergrad, I focused more on tutoring math/physics students in Calculus. In grad school, I have spent a number of semesters teaching in calculus based physics courses. In these courses, I help students review/learn calculus and how it is utilized in subjects such as physics. I All these years of teaching have helped develop my understanding and skill at teaching calculus. I find that in order to progress, one must master the fundamentals. I hope to help students solidify there understand [more]

Calculus is a staple of knowledge to understand how many principles and idea work in mathematics. With my background in experimental particle physics (I have a Ph.D), I have used calculus throughout my education college career and beyond. Calculus is understanding of how mathematics works. I have tutored in mathematics and physics during my graduate years while earning my PhD in experimental particle physics. I have a passion for mathematics and physics and love continuing to learn myself. I find it rewarding to see others learn in these areas as well. I have a large base of subjects for [more]

I have a strong college background with more than 3 years of calculus. I've taught a course worth dual credit (with a local college) for several years. If it's first-year college level calculus material, I know it thoroughly. I can also teach a smattering of calculus 2 (sequences and series) and a fair amount of calculus 3 (double and triple integrals). Math and science getting you frustrated? Hate the subjects or don't even know where to begin with problems? Need a tutor that can relate? Look no further! I was a high school classroom teacher for 9 years. I was noted by my administration for [more]

I am in my 6th year as a PhD candidate at CSU, and have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate at Northern Arizona University. My mother is a high school physics teacher, and I have been drawn to teaching my whole life. I have been a camp counselor, tutor, supplemental instructor and a teaching assistant. I have enjoyed all of these roles helping students learn and understand. Helping students gain the skills to succeed and seeing their knowledge grow is what really gets me excited for tu... [more]

I got my bachelor's in mathematics and computer science. With experience tutoring all age groups and learning styles, I can help students become more comfortable and prepared for Mathematics classes at the middle school to undergraduate levels. I also prepare students for ACT or GRE testing, covering topics and test-taking skills. I like to help take the stress out of these testing experiences. I've been helping people to understand Math since starting to learn the subject myself. What started as a friendly tip to my classmate led to regular o... [more]

I discovered my love for math at a very young age. As a mathematics major who is aspiring to be a mathematician, I found this love expanding into the realm of teaching. My experience has shown me that everyone can learn to find their own connection with math as long as they have the right support to learn at their own pace. I thrive on giving individualized lesson plans to each student, because I know everyone learns a little differently. I completed an Associates of Science with a designa... [more]
