I worked as a teaching assistant for calculus 1, 2 and 3 at University of Houston while I was working on my master's degree in mathematics. In recent years I have tutored many high school and college students at all levels of calculus. I am very familiar with this subject. My strength is I can explain difficult concepts from different angles. I can design practice problems on the fly to help my students to reinforce certain concepts. I specialize in teaching calculus. I have tutored more hours in calculus than in any other subjects! While working on my master's degree in mathematics at U [more]

The course was part of my major in college, and I have taught, tutored, and written curriculum for Calculus over the past few years. I have five years of experience as a certified high school mathematics teacher in Texas. During those years, I taught Geometry, Pre-AP Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and STAAR EOC Algebra I test preparation. I've worked very close with other teachers on my team to better understand the connections between mathematics courses and to develop environments that were helpful to our students. I also coached math teams for both state and national math competiti [more]

Prerequisite math courses, calculus, and circuits are only the first courses in a long series of my coursework. I have multiple electrical engineering degrees and took several mechanical engineering courses, then applied these courses in diverse industry applications. I have recently tutored multiple college students in calculus. I am a Software Engineering Fellow with a Doctor of Engineering degree who specializes in applying theory and mathematical concepts to practical applications. My objective in every tutoring session is to help students become familiar with the fundamental concepts, t [more]

I have a passion for explaining math in a way that is easy to understand. I have been tutoring middle school, high school, and college math and science for 8 years. I found my love of tutoring while I was in college. I would tutor the other students and it was the greatest feeling when a student would come up to me and say "I passed my test because of you." Or "I was not nervous this time, I feel like I finally understand what this is talking about." I got to see the joys when helping my two older daughters with their high school math. After college I spent the past 16 years working first in the Civil Engineering and Land Surveying field then as a web A... [more]

I studied electrical engineering in college which uses calculus extensively. I also tutored calculus for my university's tutoring center for two semesters.? I tutored Calculus and Physics for two semesters at my university's tutoring center. This gave me experience understanding what concepts students have trouble with and how to best explain them. I have a degree in electrical and computer engineering from Baylor University, which provided me with a good foundation in mathematics and physics. My ability to understand concepts deeply aids me in identifying what students do understand and whe [more]

I have many years of experience as a tutor, at college, high school and middle school levels. I love Math and can tutor several subjects (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Physics, Test Prep, etc.).
