We will study calculus concepts such as limits and continuity; differentiation and integration of algebraic, trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, and hyperbolic functions; related rates; and optimization problems. In addition, we will study applications of integration such as volume. I believe students should be confident in their math skills. By getting good grades in school, their options in life (e.g. jobs, career paths) are kept open. I gauge where the student is at in knowing the concepts by having him/her work out the problems. Every problem has two parts: the first is recognizin [more]

I am professional on explaining Calculus topics such as derivatives, integrals, limits optimization, related rates, sequences and series, divergence and convergence, vectors, multivariable calculus, volumes, implicit differentiation, double and triple integrals, differential equations as well as mean value theorem. I am a patient and experienced tutor that is doing this job professionally. Please spend couple of minutes to take a look at my testimonials to see what my students are saying about my tutoring style and experience. 2016 was an important year for me, since I graduated from Universit [more]

After having worked 30 years as an engineer for major aerospace firms, I have recently decided to retire. I can now pursue the things I like to do. One of things I like to do is to tutor. I love working with people, especially when they see significant improvement because of my help. I have been successfully tutoring the last six years and have helped many people along the way.... Hello, I am Tina. I recently graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Chemistry and I have also received American Chemical Society certification for professional education while at the university. I have been tutoring students in math and science for the past couple of years. I've tutored math subjects ranging from common core mathematics to differential equations. I've also tutored students in chemistry, biology, and physics. I have taught students one on one and have also tutored in aft... [more]

Calculus is a vast subject that begins by building on top of algebra and trigonometry by introducing concepts such as limits and infinite series. It then introduces derivatives and later integration. After those concepts are mastered partial differentiation, multivariate integration, differential equations and differential operators are added. Calculus requires strong math skills in foundational math up through the level of trigonometry, and any holes or weaknesses in those areas need to be addressed. [more]

I have taught and tutored this subject for over twenty-five years. In that time I have a 99% passing rate for students taking the AP test. I also tutor Calculus at the college level. Currently I teach AP Calculus for a local high school. Greetings! My name is Nick, and I have been blessed to be able to tutor math as my full time job since graduating with highest honors from the California State University. Over the past twenty years I have had successful results with over one thousand students in the Orange County area. In addition to tutoring I teach Algebra and Geometry part-time at a l [more]

In 2015, I graduated as a double major in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Economics with double minors in Statistics and Education. In high school, I passed 8 AP exams and received 5's on Calc AB, Calc BC, Statistics, and Chinese. I have been tutoring students since high school and have had many years of experience tutoring mathematics. Over the years, I have taught both privately and in classroom settings. My favorite part of teaching is making a difference in students' academic succes... [more]

I'm yasna! I'm a first year college student at UC Irvine! I'm planning to get a degree in computer science. My favorite subjects are math and physics. I took AP physics and AP calculus as well as the AP tests in highschool. I am also taking math and physics in college and plan to pursue a career involving both subjects. I have a great passion for teaching and am very patient with students while doing so. I will explain the topic in the easiest way to understand, yet will go in depth about w... [more]

I first took Calculus in my freshman year of high school, and scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam in 10th grade. I've been tutoring Calculus ever since I graduated high school. Perhaps the best example of my experience here is when I helped one student get his yearly grade from an F to a B from the end of one semester to the end of the next. Ever feel like you aren't learning in your classes? Like what your teacher is explaining just isn't clicking with you? That maybe you could enjoy the subject if your teacher taught a little more engagingly, or a little more to your learning style? I hav [more]
