I am a licensed/certified teacher. I was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of High Point University with a 4.0 GPA. I majored in mathematics for secondary education and minored in Computer Science. I took 2 levels of Calculus in college, scoring a 4.0, and was given the "Outstanding Senior Mathematics" Award due to my Calculus achievements as well as my overall love of math. I also did my Senior Seminar on "Calculus 3", which involved me teaching myself the subject, writing the Thesis Paper, and presenting it to the committee. [more]

Four years working with calculus students at Huntington Learning Center. Practicing electrical engineer. Currently have two B/C calculus students. I've been a tutor now for four years and I love my job! I specialize in Calculus 1/2/3, Differential Equations, Physics, and Electric Circuit Analysis but also teach algebra, SAT/ACT prep, and precalculus. I really look forward to the "AHA!" moment when a student finally understands the concepts that I'm trying to communicate. I understand that math and science can be very frustrating to some students. I can definitely help you! I have a Bach [more]

I am an applied mathematician and teaching and directing students come natural to me. I have over 10 years of teaching experience at the University level in various areas of Mathematics such as Basic Mathematics, Engineering Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Calculus, quantitative methods etc. Depending on the level of the student, I motivate students with real world applications and benefits of knowing the subject matter to try to first stimulate their interest. I treat the materia... [more]

I graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a B.S. in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering. Wow, that's a mouth full. While at ECSU I took several math classes per semester, such as Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, III, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Foundations of Mathematics. In addition to math, I love and am very knowledgeable in history including the areas of World, American, and African American History. In high school, I t... [more]

Hi, my name is Tan. I graduated from High Point University majoring in Actuarial Science and minors in Business Administration, Statistics, and Finance. Math is my passion. I love math and took numerous math, statistics, and finance classes in college. I tutored college students in Business Calculus and Statistics at High Point University. I tutored kids aged 7-18 in basic math, geometry, algebra, precalculus, and calculus when I was in High School. Math is fun so I make my lesson interesti... [more]

I began tutoring calculus in 1981. In 1984, I taught calculus workshops to entering Virginia Tech freshman as an undergraduate engineering student to supplement lectures by professors and graduate assistants. I have tutored high school calculus, honors calculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. I have tutored college Calculus I, Calculus II, and Calculus III. I am currently tutoring Calculus I and Calculus II. I absolutely love helping people understand math better. I have been tutoring math since my sophomore year at Virginia Tech--eons ago. I have been a 'numbers person' all my life. I [more]

I have been using differential and integral calculus of single and multiple variable(s) ever since high school and especially as an electrical engineering student. I have taken many engineering courses that apply calculus to solving problems including linear time-invariant systems, control systems and RLC circuits. I can help you whether you are learning calculus for the first time in high school or college or if you're taking an engineering course and you need help with the calculus that is required to solve problems. I have taken the AP Calculus AB exam in high school and made a 5 and I have [more]

About Me & Qualifications: I just graduated with an Electronic Engineering degree from Georgia Tech with a 3.9 overall GPA and am working as a fulltime Engineer. I think the most important part of learning is having an intuition about the concepts. I enjoy teaching and helping others gain that intuition. I have been a tutor throughout high-school and tutored at Georgia Tech. As an Electronic Engineer, I have an intuitive understanding of Physics and Calculus and their applications. I will h...
