Calculus introduces students to the concepts of limits and opens a whole new world of mathematical solutions such a instantaneous rates and areas/volumes of irregular figures. Many students find applying precalculus skills accurately more difficult than the actual calculus concepts themselves. I ensure review and practice of "rusty" skills and at the same time emphasize calculus concepts. This two-pronged approach has been very successful in guiding my students toward high exam scores and success in current or future college courses. [more]

I have BS and MS degrees in Math and a PhD degree in Statistics. In the United States I have taught 6 years as a teaching assistant. Courses include Calculus, Elementary Statistics, Probability, Sampling, etc. I really enjoy working with students and answering their questions. It's my pleasure to work as a tutor and help students.... [more]

I am a current Computational Physics graduate student at MSU. I earned degrees with honors in Mathematics and Physics from Trinity College, where I took Calculus intensive classes in both majors, from basic Calculus I straight through to application in Electrodynamics and Quantum Mechanics. I have taught and tutored extensively for more than eight years. Very often, this tutoring involved helping students understand Calculus both in its pure form and through application in Physics. I am ready and willing to tutor any calculus student! [more]

My reason for teaching is the goal of helping any student reach his or her full potential. As a Michigan State University student, I myself am trying to reach my full potential. I want everybody to make something of themselves, and I would be really happy if I had contributed in the slightest sense to that achievement. I highly encourage hard work and perseverance as I believe those are the most successful keys in life. I have informally tutored classmates, and relatives and I received good ... [more]

I am a PhD student at MSU in the Materials Science department, currently a teaching assistant. I took Calculus I and and Calculus II for engineering at the University of California Merced, and passed both courses with an A. I have also taken Vector Calculus, which is the equivalent to Calculus III, and passed that with an A also. Most upper division engineering courses require a solid background in Calculus, thus I am always constantly reviewing the material. Hello Everyone, My name is Eric. I recently graduated from the University of California Merced with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Writing. I moved to Michigan without knowing anyone here because I was fortunate e [more]
